Sometimes the best way to serve a community is simply to show up when it matters most.
Karen Miller, a senior Westlake Village resident, had been quietly struggling through warm Southern California days in her condo. Her aging HVAC system couldn’t keep up — leaving her home uncomfortably warm and her energy bills higher than they should be. For someone living alone and managing allergies, that’s more than an inconvenience. It’s a daily quality-of-life issue.
That’s where Lennox’s Feel The Love program came in.
Feel The Love is a national initiative where Lennox donates equipment and local HVAC companies donate their labor — together giving a complete, brand-new HVAC system to a deserving member of the community, free of charge. This year, Tassio Temperature Control was proud to be Lennox’s local partner in Westlake Village, and Karen was selected as our very first recipient.
The results spoke for themselves. Karen’s new Lennox system cools her condo twice as fast as her old unit, and she’s already noticed a meaningful difference in her energy bills — and in her breathing. In her own words:

Stories like Karen’s are a good reminder of why this work matters beyond thermostats and ductwork. A reliable, efficient HVAC system isn’t a luxury — for an elderly person living alone in Southern California, it’s a health and safety essential.
